Working Together

Before starting one to one sessions with Louise you will first be able to speak to her on the phone.  When you call to make an appointment staff will first take your name and contact details.  These will be passed to Louise who is a fully accredited Counsellor and she will call you to discuss your circumstances and make sure this is right for you.  Following this discussion she will arrange your initial assessment.

Ongoing Sessions: (50 minutes)

Once you have decided counselling is for you, we will meet for your first assessment which helps us to explore your situation further. Thereafter, I can work either short term or long term depending on what you need.  This can be reviewed as we progress.

Appointments are available at our Medical Centres in Newport Pagnell and Willen. Please call 01908 619912 to make an appointment.

Louise draws on a number of disciplines, including Person Centred, Transactional Analysis and Psychodynamic approaches.  She also has some experience of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy within her training.

Psychodynamic Theory works on the principle that your childhood experiences greatly affect emotions and behaviour in adulthood.

Transactional Analysis can support your daily interactions with people by looking at how we relate and communicate with others.

A Person Centred approach helps us build trust so, in time, you are able to explore and find your own resolution.

You can talk to Louise about anything, which might include:

Low self esteem, low self confidence, bullying, self harm

Bereavement, stress and loss

Depression, Anxiety

Panic attacks, Anger, Addiction

Workplace issues, Redundancy

Sadness, Trauma, Abuse

General anxiety disorder (GAD)

Relationship issues, divorce, separation ( Individual counselling only.  Not suitable for couples )

If you have recognised the need for change, you have already taken the first step to a better life. Together we can find your peace of mind.
